This provision allows Hong Kong to use a sufficiently large degree of autonomy, while maintaining the capitalist system, independent judiciary and rule of law, freedom of speech and commerce. Standard of living in Hong Kong today is one of the highest in Asia. Today this big place is a city-country, multi-lingual and it practices different religions. But the basis of this polyphony is the traditional Chinese culture.
